1. Platform Role & Limitation
Venturaid is an online technology platform. We provide tools for discovering events, planning trips, and joining teams. We are not an event organiser, tour operator, motor sport federation, or activity provider.
We do not attend, supervise, or control the activities listed on our platform. All events, road trips, rallies, group drives, hikes, and team outings are independently organised by third-party organisers who are solely responsible for the safety and conduct of their activities.
2. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
By registering for and participating in any activity through Venturaid, you confirm that:
- You are participating voluntarily and of your own free will
- You are physically fit and capable of participating in the activity
- You understand and accept the inherent risks of the activity, including but not limited to physical injury, accident, property damage, illness, and death
- You have read and understood the organiser's stated safety requirements, rules, and conditions
- You take full personal responsibility for your own actions, behaviour, and safety during any activity
3. Vehicle & Road Safety
For all vehicle-based events and trips (car rallies, motorcycle rides, road trips, convoy drives):
- Your vehicle must be in safe, roadworthy condition with all required legal documentation (road tax, insurance, inspection certificates)
- You must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for your vehicle
- You must comply with all applicable road traffic laws and speed limits at all times — this platform does not endorse or condone reckless, dangerous, or unlawful driving
- You are solely responsible for any fines, penalties, accidents, or damage caused by your driving
- Alcohol and drug use before or during driving is strictly prohibited
- Route information provided on the platform is for guidance only — road conditions, closures, and hazards may change; always follow official signage
In the event of a breakdown or accident during a trip, you are responsible for contacting emergency services and your own breakdown/insurance provider. The organiser and Venturaid have no obligation to provide roadside assistance.
4. Organiser Duty of Care
Event and trip organisers on Venturaid agree to take reasonable steps to ensure participant safety, including:
- Providing clear safety briefings, rules, and participation requirements on event listings
- Ensuring venue or route selections are appropriate for the activity
- Complying with relevant local laws, permits, or regulations required for the event
- Having an emergency contact plan and communicating it to participants
- Cancelling or modifying events promptly if conditions become unsafe
Venturaid does not vet, audit, or certify individual organisers. Participants are encouraged to research organisers and review their history on the platform before registering.
5. Medical & Health Conditions
You are responsible for assessing whether you are medically fit to participate in any event or trip. You agree to:
- Consult a medical professional if you have any concerns about your ability to safely participate
- Disclose relevant medical conditions or dietary requirements to the organiser as requested during registration
- Carry any necessary personal medication (e.g. EpiPen, inhaler) during the activity
Venturaid and event organisers may collect emergency contact and medical information solely to facilitate emergency response. This information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Insurance
It is strongly recommended that all participants arrange appropriate personal insurance coverage before attending any event or trip, including:
- Personal accident insurance — covers injury during the activity
- Vehicle insurance — comprehensive cover that includes participation in club events, rallies, or group drives (standard policies may exclude these)
- Travel insurance — for overnight or multi-day trips, particularly those involving travel to other regions or countries
- Public liability insurance — recommended for event organisers
Check your existing insurance policies carefully — many standard motor policies do not cover organised group drives, track days, or off-road events. Ensure you have appropriate cover for the specific activity.
7. Minors
Participants under the age of 18 may only attend events or trips with the explicit written consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian:
- Assumes full responsibility for the minor's safety and conduct
- Must accompany the minor unless the organiser explicitly states that unaccompanied minors are accepted and appropriate supervision is provided
- Must ensure the minor has appropriate insurance coverage
Organisers must not allow unaccompanied minors at events without documented parental consent. Venturaid accounts may only be registered by persons aged 16 or over (see our Privacy Policy).
8. Emergencies
In the event of an emergency during any activity:
- Call the local emergency services first (999, 112, or the relevant national emergency number)
- Contact the event organiser using the details provided in your registration confirmation
- Use your emergency contact information stored in your Venturaid profile — we recommend keeping this up to date at all times
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Venturaid, its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for:
- Any personal injury, illness, or death arising from participation in any event or trip arranged through the platform
- Any damage to or loss of vehicles, equipment, or personal property
- Any accidents, collisions, or road incidents during group drives or road trips
- The acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any event organiser or fellow participant
- Any loss resulting from reliance on route information, schedules, or other content provided by third-party organisers
This limitation does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law. For full terms see our Terms of Service — Limitation of Liability.
10. Reporting Safety Concerns
If you witness or experience unsafe behaviour, negligence, or a serious safety incident connected to any event or trip on Venturaid, please report it:
- Using the report function on the event or organiser's profile
- Contacting our safety team directly (see Section 11 below)
We take all safety reports seriously. Reports may result in organiser account review, suspension, or removal from the platform. We will not tolerate events that promote reckless or illegal conduct.
