Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Venturaid. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Venturaid platform ("the Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 One Account Per Person
Each user may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans is prohibited.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile or in registrations
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, organisers, or team members
- Post defamatory, offensive, or illegal content in reviews or any other user-generated content field
- Use the Platform to spam, phish, or conduct any fraudulent activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data
- Scrape, copy, or commercially exploit Platform content without our written consent
- Use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to access the Platform in a manner that imposes unreasonable load
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations while using the Platform
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and may be reported to relevant authorities.
5. Organiser Rules
Users with Organizer, Author, Manager, or Admin roles ("Organisers") who create events or trips agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and honest descriptions of events and trips
- Clearly state all costs, requirements, and rules
- Honour confirmed registrations and deliver the event or trip as described
- Communicate promptly with registered participants regarding changes or cancellations
- Handle participant data (names, contacts) solely for the purpose of the specific event or trip
- Comply with all applicable local health, safety, and event regulations
- Promptly communicate cancellations and coordinate refunds where applicable
We reserve the right to remove events or trips that violate these rules or are otherwise deemed harmful to the community.
6. Registrations & Payments
6.1 Registration
Registering for an event or trip may be subject to approval by the organiser. A confirmed registration constitutes a commitment to attend. Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions.
6.2 Fees
Some events and trips charge a registration fee. All fees are displayed clearly before registration. Fees are set by organisers, not by Venturaid.
6.3 Payment Processing
Payments may be processed through our payment gateway or via manual payment proof submission (bank transfer, etc.). You are responsible for ensuring payments are made correctly and on time.
6.4 Cancellations & Refunds
Refund policies are set by the individual organiser of each event or trip. Venturaid is not responsible for refunds for privately organised events. Please review the organiser's refund policy before registering. If an event or trip is cancelled by the organiser, it is the organiser's responsibility to communicate with and refund participants.
7. User Content
7.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, profile photos, event descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with the Platform's operation.
7.2 Reviews
Reviews must be genuine, based on your actual participation, and not contain false statements of fact. We moderate all reviews before publication and may reject or remove reviews that violate these Terms.
7.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms, is reported by the community, or is otherwise deemed harmful, without notice.
8. Intellectual Property
All Platform software, design, trademarks, logos, and non-user-generated content are the intellectual property of Venturaid or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute Platform materials without express written permission.
The Platform name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks of Venturaid. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our trademarks.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Events and trips listed will meet your expectations or safety requirements
- User-submitted content is accurate, complete, or truthful
We are a technology platform, not the organiser of events or trips. Participation in any event, trip, or team activity is at your own risk. We strongly recommend you verify all details directly with the organiser and obtain appropriate travel or personal liability insurance where applicable.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Venturaid and its officers, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Personal injury or property damage arising from your participation in any event or trip
- Actions or omissions of event/trip organisers or other users
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the Platform or its community.
Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will do so.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Venturaid is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent in-platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your agreement to the new Terms.
